LADBROKE SQUARE W11
Complete internal reconfiguration and extension to a 5 storey house in Ladbroke Square.
The site was bombed in the II World War and the house had been partly re built with some of the floors in reinforced concrete. The interventions aimed at connecting the living and more private spaces in unexpected ways, emphasising the views to the garden and the use of daylight throughout. A new rear extension was added and a substantial internal renovation was carried out. All the joinery including the kitchen are bespoke items and were developed in close alliance with the client. A strong sense of light, vistas, connection and materiality pervades all the spaces. In collaboration with Interior Designer David Bentheim.
